MVP Mutts… and More!
A partnership with the Maine Veterans Project to find homes for harder to place animals with those who have served our country.
MVP Mutts… and more was born in November 2023 as a way to match our quirky long-stay dogs (and cats, too!) to the very people that will never, never, never give up; who have the exact right balance of affection and discipline; who will give these furry friends the wonderful lives they’ve been waiting so patiently for.

Make A Real Change In Someone’s Life
We have lost more veterans to suicide than in direct combat in both Iraq and Afghanistan combined. Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in America. Suicide is the #1 leading cause of death in the 15-25 age group. These numbers are only projected to go up. We cannot beat this alone – we need your help!
The Maine Veterans Project offers a variety of programs and services for Maine veterans. Through strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and generous donations we are able to keep these programs going strong while continuously striving to improve our reach.
22 veterans and active duty service members commit suicide every day in the United States.
Veterans make up just .045% of the total population yet account for 20% of all suicides in the United States
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there were around 16.5 million veterans in the United States in 2021
